As a night-time doula, Jamie was invaluable. She would often come during the day to talk to us in advance and see what we needed most. She was humorous, supportive and kind. Not only would she take control of the night, letting us get much needed sleep, she would cook amazing meals that would be ready in the fridge the next morning!

At 5 months our daughter was waking up crying several times a night, sometimes for hours at a time. When we asked Jamie for help, she first talked us through various options and we came to a plan together. Within a week of Jamie’s first night of sleep training, our daughter was sleeping through the night. Most importantly, Jamie taught us some basic principles that we rely on whenever her sleep is disrupted by (ex. jet-lag). Our daughter is now a wonderful sleeper.

I fully credit Jamie’s support of our sleep and eating schedule for my ability to get much needed sleep to maintain my sanity in those early weeks… and my partner, too! I was expecting utter chaos overnight, but Jamie kept us on track and helped us stretch feedings when okayed by our pediatrician.

As a first time mom, I would not be where I am today (boys are 6 months, are great eaters and awesome sleepers) without Jamie. I feel so indebted to everything she did for us—she even came early some nights to give us an opportunity to go out to dinner and feel somewhat normal!

The amount of support Jamie gave us was so valuable. I’m so grateful we found her! And she’s a great cook!

Jamie truly cared for our daughter as though she were her own. We always felt that our daughter was in good hands and even snuck out for a few date nights on her watch. When we had a medical emergency and I had to go to the ER, Jamie stepped right in (she was the only one who knew our girl’s routine well enough to get her to sleep) at a moment’s notice. On top of that, Jamie goes above and beyond in just about every imaginable way. She brought over homemade lactation treats, folded laundry and was available to answer any and all questions I had during those first hazy months of parenting. Even now, at 9 months in, we know that if we reached out, we’d hear right back. Jamie will feel like a member of your family, and will treat you, your children and your home as if she is! Not only that, but we have a fantastic sleeper, and we give so much credit to her work. If you’re on the fence—reach out. You will be so glad you did!

My wife and I hired Jamie and Kali when she was around 18 weeks pregnant. We knew we wanted some overnight support, as my wife also works in the birth world. I cannot say enough how much they both transformed our experience in those first few difficult weeks after welcoming our son. We always looked forward to the nights when they would be working because our laundry would be done, we would wake up to tasty snacks and a clean kitchen sink, my wife and I would both get some much-needed sleep, and most importantly, our son would be incredibly well cared for. Both doulas were knowledgeable about breast and bottle feeding with severe oral restrictions, and helped us perform stretches on his mouth after we got them released. They were very flexible with us as our needs evolved and even stepped in to help with our son during a family emergency. We are still great friends with both Jamie and Kali, and can’t thank them enough for the help!

We contacted Marie prior to the birth of my first born to help with education and also for postpartum care. Before having my baby, she came over to our home and gave a thorough overview of her services and various topics around the birthing process and aftercare, which was very reassuring, especially being a first-time mom. After the birth of my daughter, Marie provided overnight care for our infant daughter a few times a week for several weeks. She is caring and knowledgeable, and I never had any doubts that my daughter was in good hands. The first few weeks after birth were a little hazy, so I appreciated having her support and the resources she provided – and of course a few nights a week where I could take a shower in peace and get a better night’s sleep. Overall, I would highly recommend Marie if you are considering a doula for postpartum care.

Marie was fantastic! She helped us as a night doula after the birth of our second and made such a difference. It was not only that she seamlessly handled the entire night — no small feat since our baby was learning both bottle and breast feeding — she was really experienced with tongue tied babies like ours so was even able to teach us tricks to help him. The difference between our experience with our first and second was enormous, and a lot of that can be attributed to Marie’s calm and competent support — she allowed mom and dad to get enough rest to handle a toddler on Christmas break as well as a newborn, and still enjoy the process!

From the first time we met Jamie, we knew that she would be a great addition to our growing family! Before our identical twin boys arrived, Jamie visited us at our house and discussed how she works with families. Her flexibility, expertise and positive attitude put us at ease.

Once the babies arrived I had 100% trust in Jamie. We had her help us 3 nights a week for nearly 3 months. She offered her insights and experience when we asked for her advice, but never directed us to do things a certain way. Our babies slept in their own room from the first night home, and she never made us feel like this was a bad parenting decision. She had great advice for setting good sleep habits and getting our little guys to nurse. She showered us with encouragement and showered our boys with love.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Marie. She was a lifesaver for our family during the early postpartum days with my daughter. The nights Marie would come and help were what my husband and I most looked forward to during the week because we knew we’d have trusted support and that we would get much needed sleep. She was very flexible with her schedule and was always able to work with us to find the best timing for her to come help with overnights.

Marie was a loving and confident doula and I always knew my daughter was in good hands with her. Marie was always open to having conversations with me and workshopping ways to improve naps, nighttime sleep, bottle feeding, pumping, etc. with me and I don’t know that I would have been able to do things as well without her. In my struggle with postpartum anxiety and depression, nights were tough for me because I often felt a debilitating loneliness when I was feeding my daughter or up pumping. I cherish the nights we had with Marie because she helped take that loneliness away and it made me more confident as a mother. She is the absolute best and I highly recommend her!
